Silver beads gone smoky with wear-dark shading, bright blue stone set between them in a steady rhythm — this navajo pearl necklace with turquoise runs a full 24 inches of sterling silver beads and genuine turquoise, each bead placed by hand along one long strand.

The strand is made to order for Regul Silver, our own Fort Worth line. Navajo pearl beads are formed in sterling silver, given their oxidized shading bead by bead, and strung with genuine turquoise beads spaced along the fall so the blue lands again and again as the strand moves. It closes with a twisted rope toggle, the ring and bar worked in the same silver, with a small stamped tag at the clasp.

Set it beside a plain silver bead strand and the difference is the color itself. An all-silver strand reads as one note of metal from end to end; here the turquoise breaks the silver in bright blue beats, so the eye travels the whole length. Against a single pendant on a chain there is nothing to weigh either: this strand is the whole piece, bead and stone together, with no charm needed to finish it.

At 24 inches it falls below the collarbone, long enough to layer over a blouse or rest against a plain tee, and the oxidized silver keeps it grounded while the turquoise carries the light. It is the strand a woman reaches for when one necklace has to do the whole job — rooted in the Southwest, radiant in blue and silver, and easy over denim, black, or white.

Here are its facts, exactly as its record carries them: sterling silver; genuine turquoise, named on its record as authentic Sonoran turquoise; length 24 inches; western style; a twisted rope toggle clasp, as its clasp photo shows. The record carries the piece as made to order, each strand is sold separately, and the exact beads vary from strand to strand, so yours holds its own spacing and shading. The piece is ours — Regul Silver, Fort Worth.

Turquoise sets the care rules, and they are gentle ones: wipe the whole strand with a soft, dry cloth, polish the silver beads on their own where you can, and keep it dry and away from perfume and sprays — never acetone and never baking soda on turquoise. Said plainly, the honest part: the oxidized shading runs darker and lighter from bead to bead, the turquoise beads vary in blue, and fine seams show where each silver bead was closed by hand; that is the handmade mark, not a flaw.

Your strand travels from Fort Worth, packed snug for the trip, with shipping figured at checkout. If it reaches you and is not right — the 24-inch fall on you, the depth of the shading, the sit of the toggle — write to eas@regulsilver.com within 30 days and we will take it back and make it right.

More of the same family waits nearby: the Turquoise Necklaces shelf holds this strand’s company, and the full Turquoise Jewelry collection carries the rest of the stone’s story.

Come see the blue land along the silver at 1455 W Magnolia Ave, Suite 109, Fort Worth — we are open noon to six, Monday through Saturday — or write to eas@regulsilver.com and we will answer about this very strand.
