Flat ovals, each one crossed by a bar — this mariner link bracelet takes its pattern straight off anchor chain, the links locked through one another in one even gold file that sits level on the wrist and catches light in short, steady flashes.
It came to Fort Worth from the Veneto in northern Italy, where Chrysos S.p.A. stands behind the DESMOS name. A mariner link asks for patience at the bench: every oval is flattened, its center bar is set true, and link is threaded through link before the polish, so the finished run reads as one woven band rather than a row of separate rings. Mohammed, who brings the DESMOS case into our studio, carried this gold mariner in with the season’s shipment, and the even spacing from end to end is what earned it its slot.
Set it beside the rest of the wrist case and its character shows fast. The figaro counts out three short links, then one long. The paperclip opens into lean ovals with daylight between them. The barrel bracelet rounds every link into a little drum. This one keeps its ovals flat and barred, shoulder to shoulder, so the whole circle feels tailored — nautical in its bones, clean in its finish.
Around the wrist it lies flat and composed, the barred ovals turning a link at a time so the band follows the arm instead of fighting it. Lamplight picks out each crossbar in turn; daylight spreads the shine wider and softer. It carries enough presence to stand on its own, and its level profile lets a cuff or a sleeve pass over it without a snag.
The facts, plain: DESMOS made this piece in Italy from .925 sterling silver under an 18K gold plate. Each link takes the mariner form — a flattened oval divided by a center bar — and the links interlock in one continuous run, every edge smoothed for skin and cuff alike. Its record carries no measured length and no measured weight, so this page prints neither.
Looking after it asks little: a soft, dry cloth when it comes off at night, a dry place to rest, and a distance from perfume, lotion, and steamy bathrooms. And the honest line about its color: the gold is 18K plated over sterling silver — a true gold surface over a sterling core, not gold the whole way through — so spare it grit, rough stone, and hard knocks, and the barred links will hold their bright finish for years.
Shipping is figured at checkout, and the bracelet goes out packed with care. If it arrives and the fit or the feel is not what you hoped, you have 30 days to send it back — write to regulsilver@gmail.com and we will walk the return through with you, start to finish.
Its wider Italian family stands in the DESMOS collection, and the rest of our wrist pieces gather in the bracelets and cuffs collection.
Come try it against your own wrist at 1455 W Magnolia Ave Suite 109, Fort Worth — the case is open noon to six, Monday through Saturday. Questions before you come by? Write to regulsilver@gmail.com — a real person at the studio will walk over to the case and check this mariner for you.
