Forget Me Not — Inspired Watercolor Painting by Selena Angeles

Forget-me-nots have always carried one simple promise: remember me. Selena Angeles painted two horses meeting nose to nose over a single stem of them — a whole goodbye and a whole promise in one small frame. Framed in dark wood with a beaded gold inner trim, and signed by the artist.

This piece has sold. It lives here in her collection so her body of work stays whole — ask us about the pieces still available, and about commissions.

The inspiration. Selena painted this from a picture she loved — a grey horse's muzzle holding a bunch of forget-me-nots, the flower of remembrance. That picture has comforted a lot of people who have lost a horse, and it stayed with her the same way: some horses we carry in our hearts forever. Her painting holds that same tender moment, in her hand and her heart.
