One Last Look — Watercolor Painting by Selena Angeles | SA15Wb

Every leaving has a moment like this — one last look back at the place, and the ones, that made you. Selena Angeles painted this horse in loose black and gray washes, turning its head home one more time, with soft blossoms drifting at the edges like the season that's ending. Framed in black with a slim silver inner trim, and signed by the artist.

This piece has sold. It lives here in her collection so her body of work stays whole — ask us about the pieces still available, and about commissions.

All artists paint from something that moved them first. Portrait painters are inspired by a beautiful human figure; landscape artists look at a scene and draw it before it fades.

Selena was inspired by an image of a horse turning its head back toward home because it resonated with her soul.
