Mark is a Western photographer and jewelry maker, and the hands behind Southwest by Design. His bone hairpipe bracelets, chokers, hat bands, and boot bracelets are handcrafted one at a time — natural bone, leather, and beadwork with deep Southwestern roots. The same eye that frames his Western photography shapes every piece he makes: honest materials, made to be worn hard and kept for good.

Mrs. Crosby

Mrs. Crosby — Mark's wife — is a Fort Worth original. She is one of the Legends of Texas at the Fort Worth Stockyards, and an accomplished seamstress who sews her own period dresses by hand. The first hat in her collection below is her own design, made twenty years ago and signed by her hand. The rest are vintage hats from her own wardrobe — one owner, bought new and kept by her for years, and one of them still never worn. When a hat is gone, it is gone.
